The next Northern Days will be held June 5-6 2023 in Trois-Rivières.

In addition, the provincial component of My Northern Project, a science popularisation contest for graduate students working on northern and Arctic themes, will be part of this event.

More details about the contest and Northern Days will be available in early 2023. Until then, we invite you to reserve June 5 and 6 on your calendar !

Call for projects INQ-SN

More than 75% of the research teams received a favourable evaluation from the committee responsible for evaluating and analyzing the notices of intent received under the third call for joint INQ-SN projects.

These teams have the opportunity to receive $10,000 to fund the writing of a full proposal that meets the general objectives of the call for projects initiated by INQ and Sentinel North.

Funded projects will be announced in April 2023.

Two innovative advanced field schools are recruiting students!

Arctic Snow School: Physics of Arctic Snowpacks and Climate - Iqaluktuutiaq (Cambridge Bay), Nunavut (April 1st to 8, 2023)

Sentinel North (Université Laval) and the GRIMP laboratory (Université de Sherbrooke) invite you to take part in this transdisciplinary school to better understand the dynamic processes of Arctic snow, its relationship with climate and wildlife, and its importance for northern communities. Advanced Field School in Computational Ecology – Val-Morin, Québec (May 19 to 26, 2023)

Through a novel experiential game-based approach, this advanced school offers a unique interdisciplinary experience where participants will be introduced to state-of-the-art methods for monitoring and modeling behavior and interactions in animal ecology.
