The Groupe Expérimental et Numérique d'Ingénierie des Écoulements d'Eau (GENIE EAU) provides basic training in fluid mechanics, hydraulics, hydrology and water resource management. It concentrates its research in the fields of surface water safety and profitability and water infrastructures.
The group's work is more specifically oriented towards a better understanding of the interactions between structures and flows, increasing the productivity of hydraulic installations, improving the quality of water services, studying the possible failure mechanisms of infrastructures, assessing and managing the risks of failure, and drawing up water safety plans.
