The objectives of the GRES projects are to :

• Develop new knowledge on groundwater: its recharge, its flow dynamics, its quality, etc..;

• Contribute to improving the management of human activities in esker recharge areas in order to preserve the quantity and quality of the groundwater resource;

• Reduce risks by contributing to the implementation of actions for sustainable management of the resource, through the transfer of knowledge and support for resource users and decision-makers;

• To train highly qualified personnel and maintain a unique expertise in the region.
